Cornerbacks Roger McCreary and Jamel Dean both stepped up to help their teams win this week while Daniel Carlson kept his field-goal streak alive, connecting on all four of his attempts.
That and more in this week’s Auburn Made NFL rundown.
BEST OF WEEK 10
Daniel Carlson, K, Las Vegas Raiders
Carlson had a big day Sunday against the divisional rival Denver Broncos. The former Auburn kicker went 4 of 4 on field goals including a 53-yarder late in the fourth quarter. Carlson also kept his perfect extra point record going by making his only PAT. Carlson is now 22 of 24 on field goals for the season and has made 17 in a row dating back to Sept. 22. His 92 percent clip ranks ninth in the NFL among players who have kicked in 10 games or more.

Carlson has now made 30-of-38 (78.9%) field goals from 50+ yards since 2018, the fourth best percentage in the NFL (min. 30 att.).
Jamel Dean, CB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
In his first game back from the IR following a hamstring injury, Dean played all 59 snaps for the defense and helped shut down the New York Giants in a 30-7 win. The sixth-year cornerback finished with two tackles and forced a fumble, his first of the season. The win snapped a four-game skid for the Buccaneers while Dean was out and kept them in the hunt for the NFC South title.
Roger McCreary, CB, Tennessee Titans
It was a standout game for McCreary this week as the third-year cornerback recorded six tackles, including two tackles for loss, to help the Titans pull the upset against the Houston Texans. He also added a QB pressure and forced an incomplete pass on a key third down in the second half. McCreary now has 11 tackles for loss on the season, already surpassing his total from his first two NFL seasons (9).
