AUBURN, Ala. – Following a successful dual meet season, head coach Ryan Wochomurka and the Auburn Tigers head to Athens, Georgia for the 2025 SEC Championships, Feb. 17-22 at Gabrielsen Natatorium.
Action begins at 11 a.m. CT with the women’s 1-meter diving competition. Live results will be available through Meet Mobile and Dive Meets. The meet will streamed live throughout the week on SEC Network Plus.
Both the men’s and women’s teams finished the 2024-25 campaign with 5-1 dual meet records. The women racked up two top-25 wins, including a 168-132 effort over rival Alabama and enter the championships at No. 19 in the country in the latest CSCAA Coaches Poll. Meanwhile, the men also picked up an important win over the Crimson Tide (177.5-122.5), a ranked win over Georgia Tech, and sit at No. 14 in the country ahead of this week’s action.
The Orange and Blue boast six individual times inside the top 25 nationwide. Georgia native Nate Stoffle secured No. 10 in the 100 backstroke and ninth in the 200 backstroke (1:39.36). His 45.04 in the 100 back is tied for ninth in Auburn’s all-time top 25 performances. Stoffle set the school record (44.89) at the SEC Championships in 2023 in College Station.
Distance specialist Mason Mathias owns the 12th-fastest time in the country in the 500 free (4:14.03) and 18th in the 1000 free. His impressive 8:52.41 in the 1000 free is second in Auburn’s all-time top 25 performances behind his record 8:51.45.
On the women’s side, it’s been Wochomurka’s freshmen class making the largest waves throughout the season.
Lora Komoroczy’s 51.37 in the 100 back places her 20th in the country and second in Auburn’s all-time performers list. The Hungarian’s 52.04 in the 100 fly is seventh all-time. Fellow freshmen Julia Strojnowska and Audrey Crawford have also delivered top-10 swims this season. Strojnowska jumped to ninth all-time in the 1000 free (9:47.98) and Crawford’s 2:10.74 in the 200 breast also makes her the ninth-fastest performer in Auburn history.
Anastasia Makarova already owns the record in the 100 breast (58.15) and is one of two tigers to go sub-one minute in the event after Olivia Dinehart dropped a 59.90 at the First Chance Invite.
Head diving coach John Fox has his group trending in the right direction ahead of the postseason. Between the women and women, there have been nine performances that rank inside the top 10 in school history this season.
Freshman Emily Hallifax owns two of those efforts, sliding up to fifth in the 1-meter (318.98) and second in the platform (318.30). Fellow rookie Chloe Brothers rocketed to fifth in the platform (298.95) at the First Chance Invite.
Kyleigh Kidd also owns a pair of top 10 dives in the 2024-25. Her 339.75 in the 3-meter moves Kidd to seventh all-time while her 272.05 in the platform sits ninth. Senior Abigail Farrar already ranks sixth in the platform event but her 310.20 in the 1-meter moved the Florida native to No. 8.
The Orange and Blue own 23 total SEC titles since 1970 (18 men, five women). Auburn's last championship win came in 2012. Last season, the Tiger men finished second for the second straight year with 1104 points, the team’s most since 2016. The women improved three spots from 2023, earning fourth overall at 879.5 points, the most since 2019.
