Jack Burton
Jack Burton joined the Auburn Volleyball staff in July of 2023. Burton arrives on the Plains after a successful season at Florida Gulf Coast University. 
 
While in Fort Myers, Burton helped the Eagles to a 26-7 record, including a 13-3 mark in the Atlantic Sun Conference. Burton’s guidance led FGCU to its second straight ASUN tournament title and the school’s third trip to the NCAA Tournament.
 
FGCU’s 26 wins were one shy of a program record. Burton’s stop in Fort Myers also featured a power five win over Maryland, 17 sweeps and a season-best RPI of 31.
 
During the 2022 campaign, FGCU also picked up five ASUN postseason honors including the player of the year in senior outside hitter Lily Felts. Felts would garner national attention, picking up an AVCA All-America honorable mention distinction as well.
 
Prior to his work in the Sunshine State, Burton spent two years as a volunteer assistant with the Dayton Flyers. In two seasons in Ohio, Burton helped lead the Flyers to its highest AVCA ranking in school history at No. 26. While in Dayton, he aided the development of two All-Americans, three first team all-region honorees, two A-10 Athletes of the Year, two conference Setters of the Year, two Players of the Year, the Libero of the Year and nine All-Conference selections.
 
Before arriving in Dayton, Burton spent time as an assistant for the Prestige Volleyball in Arizona and Club 1 Boy’s Volleyball in Illinois.
 
A graduate of Grand Canyon University, Burton was a standout outside hitter for the Lopes. Featuring in 83 matches, he was voted team captain for both the 2019 and 2020 seasons and earned MIVA Academic All-Conference as Freshman. Burton graduated with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science with an emphasis in sports performance training.
