Hadley Berg, a former All-American and All-SEC player at South Carolina, was named Auburn's women's tennis assistant coach in the fall of 2019.

Berg comes to The Plains after spending the last season as a volunteer assistant coach at her alma mater. The Gamecocks captured the first SEC title in program history in 2019, reached the NCAA quarterfinals and were ranked as high as No. 3 in the country.

Berg played at Carolina from 2014-18. She finished her career with 87 doubles wins, 99 singles wins and 186 combined victories, ranking in the program’s top four in all three categories. She went 25-7 overall in singles as a senior, going 4-0 at the No. 1 position and defeating 10 ranked opponents to earn selection to the All-SEC first team. Her junior year saw her win 47 total matches (29 singles, 18 doubles) and start the dual season with an 18-match win streak.

As a sophomore, she and doubles partner Paige Cline were the first Gamecocks to earn All-America honors since 1994, advancing to the NCAA doubles quarterfinals and finishing with a national ranking of No. 20.

Berg is a native of Greenbrae, Calif., and graduated from South Carolina in 2018 with a double major in management and marketing.
